MD has officially apologized for slavery, angering more than a few redneck voters in the state. Critics say that this type of legislation, will eventually lead to lawsuits and the reparations.

In case you haven’t heard, MD’s own Republican Congressman Wayne Gilchrest crossed party lines to support a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq. The Sun has taken this opportunity to publish one of those, “see, even the Repubs hate Bush” articles. Bush already said he’d veto it so Gilly’s just making political enemies at this point.

The House and Senate are ready to ban smoking in MD. They just can’t decide if they should ban it in private clubs, like the ones that they all hang out in after work, with all of the other rich white guys.
